Built once. Sent every week. Measured every time.
EMAIL MARKETING
INNOVATIONS LIST  ·  OFFER  ·  SEND  ·  MEASURE

The list you already have is worth more than the list you keep trying to build. This is the written method for sending to it properly — what to send, in what order, and how to tell whether it worked.

Most emails don’t fail at the writing stage

They fail somewhere earlier, and the symptom shows up as “nobody opened it”. Find the actual stage before rewriting the subject line for the fourth time.

What you seeWhere it usually broke
Almost nobody opened it Delivery, not copy. Check whether it reached the inbox at all before blaming the subject line.
Good opens, no clicks The email did its job and the offer didn’t. One ask per email, stated plainly.
Clicks, no orders Not an email problem. The page the click lands on is the problem.
Unsubscribes after every send Mismatch between what they signed up for and what they are getting.
It worked once, never again Nothing was written down, so the send cannot be repeated.

This table is the spine of the guide. Each row gets its own chapter.

The honest part

What this is not

What it is: the four stages, the order they go in, and the specific thing that goes wrong at each one.

The four stages

List, offer, send, measure

Stage one

The list

Where addresses come from, what permission actually means, and why the smallest clean list beats a large stale one every time.

Stage two

The offer

One ask per email. How to name the thing, who it is for, and the sentence that tells the wrong reader to ignore it.

Stage three

The send

Timing, sequence and the mechanics that decide whether it lands in an inbox or a promotions tab.

Stage four

The measure

Four numbers, not twenty. Which ones tell you something and which ones are decoration.

Deliverability, plainly

The part most guides skip

You can write the best email of your life and never be read, because something upstream decided you were not worth delivering. The guide covers what the receiving side is actually looking at — authentication, sending reputation, complaint rate, list hygiene — in language that does not assume you run a mail server.

Sherry’s section — intentionally empty A place for your own screenshots or notes once you have run a few sends. Left blank on purpose: inventing example results would be a fabrication, and it is your section to fill.

Questions

Asked and answered

I have a tiny list. Is this useless to me?

The opposite — a small list is where the method is easiest to apply, because you can still read the replies individually.

Do I need a particular email platform?

No. The guide is platform-neutral and names what to look for in whichever one you already pay for.

How long until something happens?

No date, and be wary of anyone who gives you one. It depends on your list, your offer and your market. What the guide can define is what a completed send looks like, which is the part you control.

Is it legal to email people?

With permission and a working unsubscribe, generally yes — but the rules differ by country and the guide has a chapter on it. That chapter explains the practices, it is not legal advice.

What format is it?

A written guide plus worksheets, downloadable the moment checkout is open.

Ready when you are
